Apple is “Sorry” for slowing down iPhones – will fix the issue with an update

Apple has been in trouble since it released an update of iOS 11 that slowed down older devices like iPhone 6 and so on. The slower performance was due to under clocking the CPU Frequency by Apple to provide more battery usage to its users.

But iPhone users didnt liked it so much and some of them have filed a case regarding this issue. Now the Cupertino Company has posted an apology for slowing down iPhones and has promised to fix this issue as soon as possible.

How to CheckiPhone Battery Health Status

The company has offered to replace the battery of such devices for a price of only $29. The original price of battery replacement for iPhones are $79 regularly. Also the company has promised to release an software update to fix this issue in January and the battery replacement program will start next month.

Here is what Apple has to say:

Weve been hearing feedback from our customers about the way we handle performance for iPhones with older batteries and how we have communicated that process. We know that some of you feel Apple has let you down. We apologize. Theres been a lot of misunderstanding about this issue, so we would like to clarify and let you know about some changes were making.

First and foremost, we have never and would never do anything to intentionally shorten the life of any Apple product, or degrade the user experience to drive customer upgrades. Our goal has always been to create products that our customers love, and making iPhones last as long as possible is an important part of that.

Apple has really learned a lesson from this experience and we hope that we never see such type of problem in near future.
